2006 Spring Crappie Rodeo is undway now!!!!!

One of Weiss Lakes major fund raising projects is our annual Crappie Rodeo.  One thousand crappie are tagged with a numbered tag which represents a prize and released in the lake.  Crappie Rodeo participants must purchase a Rodeo badge which are sold at various businesses in Cherokee County.  Catching a tagged fish during this event and checking the fish in alive at a designated site entitles the Rodeo participant to that prize.

Participation Fee

Adults $10.00

Children 12 and under $5.00 each 

 

Crappie Rodeo Rules

  1. All tagged fish must be checked in alive with tag in place.  Do not remove the tag.
  2. You must have a current Crappie Rodeo Badge in possession at the time of the catch.
  3. All fish must be caught with pole or rod and reel during the Rodeo time.
  4. You must obey all state fish and game laws.
  5. You must agree to take a polygraph test if requested by the Tournament Director.
  6. All decisions of the Tournament Director are final.
